This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to every Wanted Ad, response, message, review, report and profile on Bezaar. It is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service. Breaking these rules can lead to content removal, feature limits, loss of paid features without refund, suspension, permanent termination and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.
You are also responsible for complying with all laws that apply to what you request, offer or transact, including product-safety, licensing, consumer-protection, export and tax rules. Legality in your location is not a defence if the item or conduct is prohibited below.
1. Prohibited items and offers

- Weapons, firearm components, ammunition, explosives and related regulated accessories.
- Controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, and unapproved or prescription-only medicines and medical devices.

- Government IDs, passports, licences, account credentials, tickets or coupons in breach of their terms, and stolen or hacked accounts or data.
- Personal data about other people, including their contact details, without their consent.
- Surveillance or interception devices, and tools whose main purpose is committing fraud.
2. Prohibited conduct
- Spam, bulk or duplicate listings, keyword stuffing, and off-topic responses to Wanted Ads.
- Fraud, scams, advance-fee requests, phishing, and payment or shipping deception.
- Bait-and-switch pricing, fake scarcity, misleading titles, descriptions or images.
- Harassment, bullying, threats, stalking, hate speech, or discriminatory content targeting protected characteristics.
- Impersonating another person, business, or Bezaar, or misrepresenting your affiliation or credentials.

- Using the Service for unsolicited commercial marketing unrelated to a member's posted demand.
3. Technical restrictions
- No scraping, crawling, harvesting or bulk export of listings, profiles or member data.
- No bots or automated access except as we expressly permit, and no circumventing rate or plan limits.
- No uploading malware, or attempting to probe, penetrate, overload or disrupt our systems.
- No unauthorised access to accounts, data or areas of the Service, and no interfering with other members' use.
- No use of Service content to train, fine-tune or evaluate machine-learning models without our written permission.
4. Content standards
Listings must be genuine, accurately described, correctly categorised, and posted only once per genuine need. Images must be of the actual item or a clearly labelled representative example, and you must have the rights to use them. Prices and budgets must be real, and any material condition, defect or restriction must be disclosed.
5. Staying safe
- Keep conversations on Bezaar until you are comfortable with the other member.
- Meet in public, well-lit places and bring someone with you for high-value items.
- Inspect goods before paying, and be wary of wire transfers, gift cards or upfront payment before delivery.
- Never share passwords, one-time codes, or full financial account details with another member.
- Bezaar is a venue only and is not a party to member transactions. Use your own judgement and see the Terms of Service for the applicable disclaimers.
6. Reporting
Use the report option on a listing, message or profile, or email hello@thebezaar.com with the URL and a description. Report intellectual property infringement using the DMCA process in Section 6 of the Terms of Service. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
7. Enforcement and appeals
We review reports and may also detect violations proactively. Depending on severity and history we may warn, remove or hide content, limit visibility or features, withhold or cancel paid promotions without refund, suspend, or permanently terminate an account. Serious violations, including anything involving minors, violence or fraud, can result in immediate termination without notice and may be reported to law enforcement. Enforcement is at our discretion, and not acting on one violation does not waive our right to act on another.
If you believe an action was a mistake, email hello@thebezaar.com within 30 days with your account email and the content in question, and we will review it. [Attorney review: if you serve EU users, confirm whether the Digital Services Act notice-and-action, statement-of-reasons and appeal requirements apply to your platform.]
8. Changes
We may update this policy as new risks appear. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated rules.
